I've always been told that angular piecing needs freeform "circle" qulting .. and circular piecing needs straighter quiling. Don't know where I heard this

I follow this basic concept also. I would not do SID, I would do something circular or swirly. Just my opinoin though, and many people love SID.

Beautiful quilt! I would SID or outline 1/4 inch so the quilting in each block would be to show off the piecing. Love your ideas for the sashings and borders.

I love your beautiful quilt! You have taken so much time on it. Why not go shopping and find a nice templet (or two) at the quilt store that would fit the mood of the quilt, look cool and try audiltioning something a little upscale into the design? Yes it will take a while to do. But you have a wonderful quilt there. Why not spend a few more days making it special?

The thing is you have to stop looking at the blocks and think of the design possibilities of the quilting. Go explore the shops and find something you love!

Beautiful quilt. I usually stitch in the ditch with a quilt like that or it looks like each block could be divided into a 9 patch and you could stitch in the ditch of the 9 patches.

Wow you all are awesome thanks for so many Ideas. I hadn't heard the circle on square and lines on circles before so that did get me to thinking, however I had thought about a shadow SITD in the white area's because the back is also white.. so I can't say I've completely decided but am looking for some circular designs that might work just incase I want to go that way.

    Hi QuiltingLyn,

Ur quilt is beautiful I think I would surely use a different pattern for the boarders. But then any stitching will look nice on that quilt.
    :D
    Keep on Quilting
