Always quilt my own, it just wouldn't feel like I could call it "my" quilt if someone else did it for me. This is my creative outlet and I need to do it from start to finish.
My favorite parts are picking the fabric and hand sewing the binding on.

I quilt my own, but I have a longarm. Saying that, I bought my first "longarm" (it was an HQ16) before I ever pieced my first quilt, because I knew that I would never be able to let someone else finish my projects :)

I do all my own. I spend a lot of time making the tops and would feel like it wasn't mine or not all mine if I sent it out for quilting. Silly, I know, but if there are mistakes, at least they are my mistakes.

I also quilt my own. Previously....many years ago, I made bed-sized quilts and hand quilted them. These days I don't make bed-sized, I make more lap quilts and I quilt them all. The two that I sent out to a long arm quilter...bed-sized, I felt like I had lost control of the process. I'm a pretty easy going person so to come to the realization that control was a problem for me...well that was an eye-opener.

I always quilt my own. I do hand quilting, and love the process. I have machine quilted some childrens quilts as I think of all the washing they go through, and feel that the machine quiting would hold up better with all the wear they get.If it is a special baby quilt, I hand quilt.

I have never sent a quilt out for longarming, although I know several longarmers! ;) I like to quilt my own quilts...they aren't all perfect, but I have improved leaps and bounds with bravery! LOL* It's not for everyone and that's ok too, but I think it's fun to do my own quilting. :)
