I am so glad you had a happy ending! I have come to the realization that not everyone has the same tastes. While I love quilts, I am very cautious about who I give them to. In fact, I generally will ask the intended recipient (or someone close to them) before I go to the trouble/time/expense of making a gift. I would much rather buy something at the store than discover at a much later time that the gift I labored over was just stashed on a shelf or sent to goodwill. Unfortunately, I have discovered that not everyone has the same good taste I have! However, I do abhor rudeness on the part of a recipient no matter what the situation!!!

Precious and very cute quilt. Glad you were able to give it to a person who would really like it.

Are young people just rude or what anymore???? Getting a baby quilt that "doesn't match" her decor....she should be grateful to be getting anything for the baby in these ecomonic times.
Why do some people act as if it isn't a perfect match for the baby/house/etc, life will come to a halt as they know it?Are the Fashion/Color Police everywhere and I just do not know it. If so, I'll need to be bailed out of jail.

I had an exsisinlaw who did the same thing but it was when my grandmother was giving us the quilts she and her mother had made. Ex's response when offered a quilt, "I don't like old things". Too bad my daughter got her's!
