My Boomerang 16 fabric. Had it so long, can't remember when or where I got it. But I like it. Keep looking at it lately. Took it to my long arm lady with a small shop & she suggested a few things. Then I found this site while looking for a pattern I thought would do it justice. So, I'm making it my boomerang fabric. The other pic is the colors I was shopping a block for. The mauve/maroon definitely, the green matches the green but not sure about the dots. Just can't wait to get my pkg & start. Thanks for trusting a newbie with your fabric.

I think that is what has been my undoing is the sparkles. Nothing compares. So changing my focus to the pink and setting it beside the maroon, really changed my thinking. I have a very helpful knowledgeable quilting lady!

My husband and I will be married for 20 years on Febr. 29, (hurrah I have an anniversary this year) I have 2 sons and he has 2 sons and 1 daughter. We have 11 grand children and 2 great granddaughters. I more grand child is on the way, due in July.
We live in a very small rural town, 110 people, and are about 70 miles from Yellowstone National Park. Beautiful in the summertime and cold and snow in the winter. We may become snowbirds when Bill retires next November, he'll be the magic 65.....I'm already past that at 69.
I'm lurking in here, thinking of possibly joining up, but I just wan Ed to say that my wedding anniversary is February 29th too! 8 years for us, I've never "met" anyone with the same anniversary as us! Have a good one!

Leesewzany, we hope you will join! Take a look at the fabrics....don't they call to you??? Try me...cut me...stitch me. Yes, I can hear them now calling to you. Seriously though, sign-ups will close in a couple of weeks unless we fill before then in which case I will take names for a waiting list. It's usually a lot of fun and there's often a good amount of chatter in and between the groups. Hope you'll consider us! Read post #1 for a rundown of how this works. Thanks!

I will try about any kind of block as long as it doesn't involve paper piecing. No matter how I try I can NOT get the hang of it. Seems strange to put the fabric on the back then it seems more wasteful to cut so much of it off. My favorite blocks are the friendship stars and other star blocks but my favorite I made was the cathedral window quilt.

Joanliz did you try paper piecing with smaller size pieces? I have trouble sometimes with angles especially on larger pieces other then that I love it

talking about anniversaries, my closest friend at work shared the same anniversary date as me, thought that was quite a coincidence.

I couldn't agree with you more. I've tried paper piecing & it's just not worth the intense concentration I have to put into it not counting the ripping & restitching. Here's my last & final try. Actually it is the second attempt, first was worthy only of file 13!
