    Since we were snowed in here in NC I stayed in my pj's all day and made 2 sets of blocks should be able to get them in the mail wed or thurs.

    I am not sure that I understand what to do on this. So if you could let me know that would be cool. I am pretty new at quilting. This is what I think it means.

    Using ONLY batik fabric, I would cut out 12 pieces that are 12 1/2 inches square. And mail them to you correct?

    Or do I need to make a pattern of something and make 12 of the same pattern but making sure that they are exactly 12 1/2" square?

    Sure am looking for your reply back. Thanks.

    using only batik fabric you choose a quilt block pattern (it can be as simple or as complex as you want) make 12 of your chosen block and send them in

    If you look back thru this thread you will see example of quilt blocks made with batik fabric that finish out at 12 1/2. Cindy

    I sent a PM but not sure I did it right since I didn't see my name on the list. I definitely want to participate and have chosen Japanese Lanterns as my first block and freestyle strip piecing on the second.
