This Pinwheel project is just the thing for me. I already have a good start on mine. Just need to make it bigger as I want it for a summer quilt for our queen bed. If I join, perhaps I can have it done by summer of '12. :-) Here's my start...
You have a big head start on us but that's OK!

SewExtreme....I had my left hip replaced last May. It took me about 2 weeks to get past the pain and surgery recovery and then I was off and pedaling my sewing machine. Before surgery I made up kits for myself so all I had to do was sit down and sew. At about the 4 week level, I started putting borders on the quilt tops I'd sewn...so up and down measuring and cutting and by the 6 week level, I was sandwiching and machine quilting. I imagine that having the left hip done was easier than the right, but I have a feeling if I ever have to have my right hip replaced......I could learn to pedal with my left foot. Having my quilting sure did help make the recovery time go faster.

Here's a lap quilt I made out of 6" plaid squares my aunt had cut. I inherited her stash. I thought the plaid was so pretty...but them I'm a crazy plaid addict! I got done with the plaid and realized I was a few short so I added a few more of the different pinwheels to make it look planned!

Wow SummerK, that will keep you busy but can't wait to see your finished quilt.
I spent yesterday 'experimenting' with pinwheel sizes. I now have 4", 5", 6" and 7" finished pinwheel blocks which I am happy with and have decided to use my scrap stash to make a 'row by row' pinwheel quilt.
Of course I may change my mind somewhere along the row :)
