Love sharing blocks on this board........everyone is so kind. My 6yr old DGD helped me pick the fabric.
I won a FQ of the ornament fabric.....she chose fabric to add to the block.
The date on the block is text I added to the picture. Waiting for Feb.................

We have such talented ladies and gents on this board. What neat blocks. I never tire of looking at all the wonderful combinations - even those I would never myself try! This goes out as a hearty "ATTA BOY" to everyone participating in this BOM from me. Not that I want to rush the calendar or anything, but I'm ready for Feb's block.

This is my first every BOM and first paper piecing project. After reading that others were attempting PP for the first time, I decided to give it a try. Plus, I have enjoyed all the pretty and nicely done blocks that I wanted to create one too. With the youtube PP tutorial link that someone posted, I was able to do this easy paper piecing project. Thanks!
So, here is my block to share with all of you.

I was surprised at how easily the pieces and pattern comes together.
I just used the copy paper for this block, but I could see where a thinner paper would be better for removal.
What type of paper does everyone else use?
I'm looking forward to another PP project.

I use the scribble pad paper from the $ Store (cut it to letter size). It is like newsprint. I recently ordered 2 reams of newsprint from Dick Blick (it is 8 1/2 X 11 and goes through the printer beautifully). It was very inexpensive, but the shipping was high. I got 2 reams shipped at the same price as 1. The paper comes off so easily!
