I'm needing a hug

Sending HUGE HUGS to you. Your quilt is beautiful, don't pay any attention to that grumpy old man, he has no idea what it takes to make a quilt. It takes hours and hours to make a quilt as you well know. Don't let other people get you down. There are some pretty mean people in this world. I hope that you will have a wonderful day and keep up the good work.

Many hugs for you. I just can't stand people belittling someone that loves to sew, quilt whatever. The quilt is absolutely beautiful. I have been under the weather and have not done much lately. Makes me sad, but feeling much better and think I can get started on my DGD quilt. She will be 16 this month and wants to help. HUGS AGAIN!!

Generally, I have only met NICE quilters and opinionated non-quilters, but I would have had the tendency to tell this man to bite my backside. But you did good, just going to your car. A much nicer response than my instinctive one, and and a whole lot less friction caused.
You were definitely the bigger person.
By the way-
Your quilt is fabuously gorgeous, I would love to learn how to free motion feather.

Here's a big hug just for you - that quilt is gorgeous!
In the old days, and he was probably an old-timer - who was brought up the hard way and only seeing quilts made from reusable clothing! So, don't let him have hurt your feelings or dim your outlook on how wonderful your quilt was - he was just being himself; a disgruntled old gent who was telling it HIS WAY!
It is lovely - enjoy and keep on doing what you are doing - I wish mine looked half that good!!! :)

Misery loves company.... Didn't you know that? I would have simply smiled and told him I wasn't in this world to live up to his expectations and to wait until someone asked for his opinion. I am a very peaceful person, but, he had no right to say anything to you. Who did he think he was... the quilt police?
Whew .... I am so glad I got that off my chest. I love your quilt. It is a masterpiece and any person who quilts knows what kind of work it took to make such a beauty. Forget that crabby old man, he doesn't know anything.
