What a great trip for both of you! I have done the same thing a couple of times. Once with a friend for a week in Colorado-we had enough projects for months and once with our families to Colorado again, our husbands fished and we sewed. It was wonderful!

This sounds like the best vacation! Peace, quiet, and quilting. I'm jealous!

What a great vacation! My DH is also a fisherman and that sounds like the ideal weekend to both of us. We'll have to try that sometime.

One persons dream vacation is not another persons dream vacation. Personally I think it sucks to be them. I sooo understand and can see your view while sewing in my head and am totally jealous. Lucky you and they don't have a vision of peace. Hope you get to do it again next year.

Yes I understand the take along quilting porject. Every summer when my husband &I make a trip I always take my sewing machine and supplys with us. Never know when I will have down time then can sew. sitting in an RV with ideal hands can't go to waste (: :D Sometimes we are very buy so sew is left sit but out in the desert I have to have something besides TV or computers to do. then it's sew, I precut quilts to take along, then it's just sew . Love it there's less house work in the RV also

Gee! you sound pretty busy lady, what a great sounding family you have. Mine are all 7 grown up on their own, but they do get Mom made quilts for gifts. even the grandchildren (22) have at least a couple quits each. Such a joy in my life they all are. I worked for 34 years full time ,now my quilting is retirement pleassure.
