Oh no!!! I'm so bummed right now, I ran into a huge snag! I didn't get a chance to finish this mystery because I switched over to finishing a quilt as a wedding gift, then we left for vacation, and then it was the holidays. I really wanted to do the scrappy mystery but needed to finish this one first. I've just realized that I'm completely out of my D fabric and I don't have the four corner blocks made yet. I scrounged for scraps that I could piece together but I already did that in another place and there's just not enough left. I think the only thing I could do is remove two of the star blocks and make it a square. It would make it 16 inches shorter. Another plus to doing that is that I had to piece my D fabric on the star blocks and if I take two out I could use only the good stars. Does anyone have any better ideas? (Tried to post a pic and it keeps failing)

    THANKS!!!

This is my double sized top - 12 star blocks, 28 border blocks + 4 corners. Did not have enough of the rust to do the entire border so alternated pairs of rust and dark brown

What adorable little ones you have! No wonder you haven't finished.
When mine were that size I did more crocheting than sewing. Easier to crochet with one on your lap. Lol
