Just me, personally, I think the crème would be perfect for the border. That is going to be one knock-dead quilt!

I prefer the black sashing, either way it is going to be stunning.

Joan I love the black sashing too. I just like how black makes it all pop. The cream it great too. It will be a very pretty quilt.

Thanks everyone..I showed it to my son who thinks hes a "quilting" expert and he said black...dont even think of putting that other in it...less will be more with it... Im REALLY pleased with how it looks in rows...cant wait to see it put together in a full quilt..Out of town Fri, sat sun...came home and tried to get ahold of my 92 year old cousin. Ended up calling the neighbor out in the country and he said they took her to Boone Hospital by ambulance while I was gone.. Seems she fell and didnt tell anyone last week..has a broken vertebre in her back so they are going to try to "glue" it tomorrow?? Ive never heard of the procedure but will have to be over there to talk to doctor and see how bad it is. Shes the type that will NEVER go to a nursing home or do therapy etc so it might be a fight!
Thanks for ALL the thoughts. I will say this quilt is going to be one of my favorites...the fabric was perfect for a swap for you ALL to make perfect blocks...thanks again!!

Sorry your cousin hurt herself, but the "glueing" of the vertebrae is an amazing procedure that works well and only a needle stick. They fill the compressed fractrure vertebrae w/ pain meds and silicone type glue, minimally invasive and very effective. My Gma had a few.

And a prickly pear cactus I found on a dirt road near me the other day.

This bee was having a good ole' time in that flower, it actually looked like it was swimming in the center while collecting to pollen.

Amazing photography, Kass! That cactus flower is so beautiful.

Joan, hope your cousin does fabulous with that gluing procedure. I agree... it's awesome what can be done nowadays.

And your quilt is looking gorgeous! I agree that the black is all it needs for a sashing... but the border print could be great on the outside edges. Can't wait to see it done. I already 'spy' my block!

I got two charity quilts done this weekend... well, quilted and bound. They were already tops. Also got some hand quilting done on my embroidery quilt. Not a bad weekend for quilting.
