But it didn't match the colors in my Feb one, and since I want to make a quilt out of all the blocks when I'm done, I want them to be somewhat alike in coloring.....
So I did it in new colors. I love this one.
I love the colours you chose for the coordinated blocks. this is going to make a great quilt!!!! I like the first Jan block too. YOur work sure doesn't look like a beginner to me!
Big hug for doing the Feb PP block!!!
I found the directions to this block to be very difficult. I'm a real visual person (and did I mention I'm a beginner???) so I had some issues. Once I figured it out I was fine. Along with the tutorial for the Jan block that was posted (thank you!).
I'm also posting a picture of the 2 blocks together.

wvdek & Martha VA,
Your blocks are wonderful!! :D I just love all of the bright colors & workmanship that you have put into making them. I am so excited to see the March blocks, starting to emerge, for this month. Are we still having FUN? :D

wvdek--another true "sunflower" block--lookin good
MarthaVA--the primary colors look so sharp together
Ducky--the batiks look so soothing. haven't worked much with them, but may want to now!
So the March block is up--gotta check it out.

I finally took the time to sit down and start my blocks. Here is my January "Sunflower". I had to rip here and there but I finally got it. I couldn't believe that this block gave me such a problem. Hope you enjoy it.
