I see some of my Texas neighbors are hanging around. I live in Richmond and work in Sugar Land. We have probably passed each other in the aisles at Joann's..
I live in Pecan Grove and also shop at the Quilter's Cottage. I always get good advice from the ladies there. I would like to take a class there. I have just come back to quilting in the last year and would love to sharpen my skills. I am a self taught quilter and could really benefit from a class. I teach at Fort Bend Baptist Academy and travel much of the summer to visit our grandchildren so there isn't alot of extra time for taking classes.

:D :D :D :D
What a cute block. The airplane and dog are great embellishments. You did a superb job of joining the elements. This is a tricky one for sure.

Quilter's Cottage is just off Hwy. 90 on 359 where Pecan Grove is. Closer to you is a shop in Missouri City in the Township where Sweet Mesquite and Black Eyed Pea are. And there is Quilter's Emporium on 59 between W. Airport and Murphy Road...if you're going towards Houston it would be on your right. It's a very nice shop!

You teach near me. I live off Eldridge in the Covington Woods area. A lot of my friends kids have gone or go to FBBA. I have two grown daughters, a daughter at Kempner and a son at Sugar Land MS. We go to Sugar Creek Baptist. I think if I were you I'd be spending my time visiting grandchildren too! :)

This is the one and only farmhouse block for my quilt. It's wonky, and I just realised I missed a piece entirely, but it is done. :?
I love it - that is so cool!
