I finally finished building my house tonight. It was a fun challenge.
I used a blue roof like my grandparent's farm house.

I have spent the last 3 evenings on and and did a lot of un-sewing. It's a little wonky but I think it will be OK.

Sure looks plain after seeing all the embroidery and embellishments on all of the others. I'll have to see about adding some details and I think I'll add a border to bring it up to 12 inches.

But for now:

awww I think these two here are just adorable. Your "crooked" house is not picked up, until you mentioned it! I love your materials.

I don't think yours looks plain at all.. if you wish add something with applique` :)

Love your block, too!! :thumbup: I didn't even notice that the two stories didn't come together until you said so. It looks really good to me. Your fabric choices are great, too!!

I don't see where you think it is plain!! :D Your fabric's & their contrast, make your Grandparents Farm House look really nice. I hear what you are saying about ripping seams out, as I did a lot of that too. I just LOVE all of these great blocks that are being posted!!
