Andrea, I bought a print with flowers, I am using it for all of my centers, it looks really nice :D
I think that embroidery would look really great! I am changing my blocks quite a bit to have more embroidery and less layers of applique.

I need to take some pics!
Yep, take some pic's and show us!!

lacelady, I am experimenting with a Batik but the fabric doesn't even absorb the bleach. Did I chose the wrong fabric as Batiks seem to be more tightly woven?

Lesley is wonderful for giving the bleach pen a go and showing us all how to do it! I love playing with it! Andrea..I used it on a batik...are you using regular bleach or the pen? The bleach pen liquid seems to me to be thicker, so you can let it sit for a few minutes, but it doesn't take long.

Try another fabric if that one is giving you trouble.

Do you have Microsoft office? If so, try opening your picture with it. Chose "Edit Picture" & click on Contrast & Brightness. At the bottom of the choices is a selection for something like "mid-tones" or something similar. Chose it by putting your pointer to the left side of the center marker & clicking. It will dull down some of the overly bright colors that seem to appear when the colors aren't really that bright. Just about every pic I post lately needs some kind of adjustment. Maybe it's because of the artificial light - you suppose? Anyway, as you are clicking away, your picture changes right there & then, so when you get to a point that you like, you can save it. If you don't like what you are seeing, just exit. You can click on any of the choices & see what they do to your picture. It's kinda fun!

It's gorgeous!!!!! I love your red! Even goes well with the pink embroidery. I can remember when we would never consider putting pink with red!

Oh...it looks fabulous! The B/W's look so great together...that was an inspired idea! The double line of embroidery will be cool!
