Some may have gone a bit over and then sometimes I know as for me have hit some awesome sales. I am always bargain hunting at the lqs. But we try not to make it too lopsided as the point of the limit is to make it afordable for many.

I think some people do go over the 10.00 limit BUT a lot of people give from their own stash of stuff.
We are on a fixed income and I have to catch things on sale or dig thru my own stuff to send. I also try to make something to send also.

Wanted to add that you could send stuff like magnets or keychains from your state, postcards, stuff like that. It doesn't have to be all quilting stuff. I collect snowmen and keychains, so that is something I would love to get especially if it has your state on it.

Maybe we could add a "collector of" on our info sheet.
Thank you so much.

That is a good idea, and really makes the gift more personal. What better way to remember someone from another state than to have a souvenir to look at. Also regional recipes, souvenir pot-holders, even prepackaged ethnic foods (I guess that would be beans and rice or gumbo mix from here). These things are relatively inexpensive and really help to stretch the $10 budget. And refridgerator magnets -- who can live without them (except for the youth with their stainless steel kitchens). Good thinking Suzanne!!!

I went shopping yesterday and got my SP some goodies. We love the same color, so I bought yardage and cut in half between the both of us:) Yeah, so excited! I am going to finish up something this week and send the package on its way on Friday or Saturday.
quiltingbee12, I got you something too, I hope you like it!
