    It won't have too many cornerstones if you only sash three sides of the subsequent blocks. Use the existing sash w/cornerstone for the fourth side as you sew them together.

    I think this a great way to get cornerstones at every corner. Beats measuring and setting them in the long strips if you do it the way I did it.

    You are doing a beautiful job. Please keep going. I just love this quilt - it is a great quilt for a boy. Love what you are doing.

    I agree with Qbee! I guess it depends on what size it going to be. But I would sew, say the next two blocks with only top and bottom sashing, if your making it 4 wide, I would sew the next two ,top & bottom and left & right. Wishing you luck. Love the colors!

    that type of sashing and cornerstones works when you put it on just two sides, like left and bottom . then when you have everything sewed together add it to the top and right sides. I doit frqesntly. Or youy can add another sashing stip inbetween so you don't have to do any ripping

    I love how it looks here! I'm not a sashing/cornerstone person, but I bet you can work it out without ripping! Create a new design!
