This shall pass and you will find the strength to sort out your mother's things and get back on track. Don't be in a hurry. Take care of you and blessings!

I did a little sewing, a little yard work, a little organizing. Nothing totally accomplished but touched base on a few things.

Oh I know how it is with household chores, yard work and all those necessary things that you feel needs to be done. I am there, too. I keep thinking about sewing and quilting but still let those other chores get in the way first so no sewing or quilting gets done. I need a push, too!!!

one step at a time! been there done that, and stop, sew a coaster, or mug rug, just something small to get you out of doldrums, then go on to do what needs to be done.....

I too need a maid or housekeeper and a yard service -- I need to get it all together so I will have a hand sewing project -- need to finish the piecing and put my placemats together or start a tshirt quilt (promised for my son last year)

I do like this suggestion........ excellent

Give yourself a break! You said that your Mom was recently deceased so you are likely still grieving and dealing with her stuff will make things worse. If you feel like sewing, sew. If you want a nap, take it. All the other suggestions are really helpful to jump-start yourself but they may not work, so forgive yourself. Time does not heal but we learn how to move on at our own pace. Love and best wishes.

I know how you feel. It seems I have been spending so much time organizing my stuff lately that I haven't had time to do anything with it. Over the weekend I just had to ignore the mess and whip up a couple of items - a baby quilt for Godchild's baby boy and a table runner for my mom. Couldn't see the purpose of organizining everything and not sewing something. When I was organizing I found a lot of projects I had forgotten - now have a priority list and hope to finish more of them.
