I Like the Combination of Piecing/Strip Quilting
#21
Thanks for sharing - I hadn't thought of using the basting spray - I'm going to try that when I finally get around to doing the string blocks - already cut paper from an old tele book as suggesgted by a different post. The Strings keep piling up, so I better get movin!

I found a way to reuse copy paper that has been used printing "proof" copies... instead of tossing them, I trim the 8.5 X 11 inch sheets to 8.5 inches square, then sew diagonally across with any strips, or scraps I have left. Makes an eight inch square block finished. Of course, you have to tear off the paper when you are finished, like paper piecing. (Same technique) You will be surprised how quickly they stack up. Soon you have enough to make a scrappy string quilt. If you don't want to keep them, donate them to the charity quilts at your guild, or other quilt makers. :)

How do you attach your blocks together
"Ditter's String Quilt Tutorial Added" and scroll to the second entry where the link is posted. She's done
an excellent tutorial on joining quilt-as-you-go blocks.
