Give them aid and comfort as they give you in your time of need.

I understand, the storm has not hit us yet here in MA. My dogs have never encountered a hurricane. It will something tomorrow when the storm hits us in MA. Your dog is gorgeous.

I had a Sheltie who had to be put to sleep four years ago. I swore I would never have another dog (I've had dogs since I was old enough to remember) but after just a few days I was so lonely all day. I didn't realize how much I depended on him always following me everywhere. We soon got a yellow lab puppy and she does the same, following me even into the bathroom. Now I am certain she's my last dog.....

That makes me so sad! We had a Sheltie pup that climbed the fence and got run over a few years ago. I really cried over that pup. We now have another Sheltie that is 9 mo old. I think they are the smartest, sweetest dogs there are! However, she knows where she can and can't go and her crate is where she goes when she is afraid. The bathroom is a no-no except when she gets her "spa" treatment which she loves!

Awww, poor babies. After the Japan earthquake, when the tsunami was headed towards us on the west coast, my dog and my friend's (just down the street) were just underfoot and barking at "nothing" and just being silly to us - perfectly normal to them, they were warning us. I hope all turns out ok for you and your babies!
