I like it for babies! It uses darker colors which is good, we all know about kids and stains. It's not too "baby" looking which will make it more useful as the child gets older. I think you did a great job!

Of course! I think colorful blankets are wonderful for a baby. My special needs grandson loved anything with bright colors and I think all babies do too.

I think it is fine. I resently made my SIL a quilt for her 1st g-baby due in OCT. It was made with motorcycles with flames. She loved it. No sports fans in the family but they all love their bikes. Lots of bright colors, my nephew fell for it hard.

Another idea for making it more girlie would be to add a ruffle around the outside edge instead of doing binding. You would just add it as you sew the top and backing together.

To me its very nice - I have scalloped or rounded the corners of the borders for bay quilts to soften them. Maybe a small red border then a larger border would be nice.

I like it - keep going ! Please post finished ---

I like it.. perhaps not extremely babyish.. but if you want something more along those lines applique a little teddy bear somewhere on it. they are never out of style.

    VERY appealing :D
all you need to make it girlie is a scallop or a ruffle ;)

I like it. My ex mother-in-law made my daughter a quilt using scraps from the sewing room she worked in. It was the Florida State Hospital and the scraps were all polyester pieces. I believe they used to make dresses for the patients. That quilt was so cute and bright. I didn't care that it wasn't pink. My daughter still has it. It's 35 years old.
