2 sections done..last one tomorrow. i am tired right now..
i am not sure what has been done, my son told me what is going on...i do know that Jadyn is depressed. she is such a sweet girl..

Watterstide, I think those are going to make a beautiful quilt for her and that's such a wonderful thing to do! I want to know what's going on with this boy's family that they're letting this go on. My seven year old used the word "chubby" to describe someone the other day (not meanly, but just to describe them) and we've been talking about it. Kids just soak this stuff up from out culture in such a bad way. :(
I'm a type I diabetic, so I know a lot about how insulin works or doesn't, as the case may be. And I read *the*most*amazing* book recently and I think anyone with insulin resistance (or a child with it) needs to read this. It's "Good Calories, Bad Calories" by Gary Taubes. This book totally explains why it is that I can gain wait while eating 1200 cals of low fat diet or lose while eating 2000+ cals of high protein/fat. It is so, so hard to lose weight when your insulin is all out of wack, but this guy explains the science behind it and why the standard american diet is unworkable if you're insulin resistant. He also has another book that's more about how to lose weight and I've heard it's a bit easier of a read (GCBC is almost 500 pages and dense reading). Have any doctors recommended low carb to you?

The girl's school should have a no bullying policy. Most schools in Texas do. The principal, guidance counselor, teachers all should be helping this girl. I'm a Texas teacher, and I would help this girl.
I hope her school is doing what it is supposed to.

Kim, that is very wonderful what your have set out to do. i hope your little friend learns from good people like you that she has worth and value beyond measure,
Glad you kept the varying widths, your quilt is coming along very nicely!
