That looks like a really neat addition to a sewing room. I see one negative(for me anyway)-if i have an open cup, there's sure to be threads floating in it! I've poured hot milk into my cereal bowl instead of my mug b/c they were next to each other, so its bound to happen here too!

I have since bought 4 more and given to quilter friends....even got one for DH for his wood shop. Nice gifts!
I love my holder. Very sturdy too. Been using it for 7 or 8 years. Creative Memories is going to get an increase in sales. :-)

oh, no -- nope, can't get that. You all may think the drink is safe, but I know me....I'd turn, run into it and have everything all over the fabric, machine and floor. LOL LOL

Wow! I was just looking at Creative Memories for the mug holder-& I thought quilting was an expensive hobby!

Oh I like this idea. I don't usually keep a drink by my side when I am sewing for the same reason amadasgramma said but this idea would work for me. Thanks!

Amazon sells them for $20.00, but they are currently out of stock.

I know I will love how you 'quiltify' this. I, too, would be putting threads in my cup/drink. I have a pin cushion which is weighted and has little velcro straps which connect to a thread catcher bag. The bag can be removed and be emptied. It is a quilted item and I love it. Bought it at Stitchers (local needlework shop).

I keep a brown lunch bag taped to the edge of my sewing table for threads. Works fine.
