I'm painting it the same beige as the rest of the house... the same color all over makes it look bigger.

No sewing today. I'm building a 48"x48" spice rack for my pantry. I use the large containers of spices (from Costco) and its a pain sorting thru them on the shelves. This will also hold all the wraps and Baggie boxes.

I just finished making a batch of Sausage Balls for next week. My DS will be in from Tulsa for a few days and he loves them.

I will finish it today and send to the class. It is my daughter's class so now I have a job for life when they do their quilt unit.
I used to do a similar activity every year that I taught.. For multicultural night we made a quilt with squares designed using fabric crayons. Each child found and shared a Folk Tale from the country their family immigrated from, drew a picture to represent the tale, added the name of the Folk Tale, country it was from, and their name....I sashed them together in red, white and blue, to represent the US that binds us all together..It was a favorite for my kids and parents every year. Many times a parent that spoke the language of origin would come and read the tale in the language, and the child read it in English...

I was not too inspired to work today. Went to Joannes to get fabric for a pink and white baby quilt I am doing for a friend in Warm Wishes. She needs it for a baby shower on the 1st, which means I need to get moving since I hand quilt. I also need to make 8 quilted stockings. My DD is a meat manager for a supermarket, and wants stockings for each of her employees in her department. Going to do them with strings ....Looks like Sunday and the rest of the week will be busy!!
