Slogging along on Easy Street here; drawing diagonal lines on 2" purple squares. That's step 4, I think.

i have a table runner to make, a purple doll quilt, and something else i can't remember. what do you bet that one won't get done??!!? meanwhile, dh is putting together a sewing machine cabinet that will be less than an inch too small which irks me since the description said it would fit my machine. all together now, loud and proud, "GRRRRRRRR!!!" thanks, couldn't have done it without you! i feel better! (ok, not totally, but i feel less alone.)

    On the river,
I like your blocks. I haven't done an Irish Chain quilt but its on my to-do list. Maybe I will use my MIL stash for that one.

I have my baby quilt sandwiched and will sew it and turn it at halftime of Gophers and Hawkeyes men's basketball game. Go Gophers!

I have been working on my "Cabins in the Cotton" blocks. I bought the book in 2005 and found it while looking for some motivation. I will post some progress pictures later this afternoon.

Progress check; I have gotten the long borders on the quilt. Thought it would take an hour, been 2-1/2 so far. Just need to iron and the top is done.

Well it's gone 8 in the evening here and I am off to take Muffin for a walk and a breath of fresh air. I have had a busy and productive day. I wanted to see how effective I could be in using up some of my scraps and I have done wonders.

I am just finishing off the 4th block of the Scrappy Prairie Chicken quilt, which I have used some of the gazillion 2" squares as a scrappy sashing. As there are so many little triangle off cuts have done some "Crumb" blocks and all the threads and itsy bitsy pieces of fabric have gone in a pillowcase for a new bed for my Fur-baby, all in all a really good attack on my scrap pile.

Wishful thinking I'mworking on Easy Street too. I thought I was through with the blocks in step 8 but I put some of the 4 patches in wrong so I'm ripping out. Then I have to go back and put my side triangles together. I hope to get all that done today so I'll be ready to put it all together this week. My goal is to finish the top this week so I can get it to the longarmer.

I'm so jealous. I planned on a 3-day weekend of nothing but quilting, but hubby started down the path of improving our pantry, and Saturday and Sunday have been shot. I did get drawers and more shelves, and it's a really BIG pantry, so the work was pulling everything out and cleaning it out.

Oh well, next time....and tomorrow for sure!!!
