Came home from church and put binding on a baby quilt, it is now finished, thank goodness. I made a string quilt with flannel strips on top and lavender minky on the back. That was the first time we quilted minky on the LA and it turned out pretty good.

Almost done with the 5th compass star, washed and dried the deep purple yardage and just put the turquoise in the wash. The colors are so rich I didn't want to wash them together. Took a break for some lunch.

Wonderful projects! Grann of 6, I really like that orange border(maybe it's red, but it shows orange on my computer.

I finished my second task of the day. It was adding strips to a baby quilt, sandwiching, doing a pillowcase turn, top stitching, and tying.

Now I need to look over the directions for the flying geese part of Judy's mystery train quilt. It's deep breath time!

Well, it is past 4:30 here, and it is "wine o'clock", so not much else will get done today. Half done with the blocks on the embroidery machine. Dogs will want to eat soon, and so will I, so may either finish the other 10 blocks tonight or later tomorrow. Won't get any quilting done tomorrow, having a field trip with 2 fellow QB members to a fairly new LQS in our area.

Yes, it is red, to play up the tiny bit of red in the top. Not too much to contrast in this fabric. Some little guy will love it. May use the plain (mottled) blue for binding.

Shortened my quilt frame (with lots of help from my husband) yesterday. So, I started today by cleaning up the mess we made yesterday! Then, onto the half hexie project. I am using the five inch ruler from Missouri Star Quilt Co. It's going well, 15 rows completed. The remaining 7 are pinned and ready to be pieced. New I could use a little nap.....

Beautiful work everyone. I went to church had breakfast, went to give communion at the nursing home and then went grocery shopping all before noon. Had lunch but have been feeling off all afternoon so nothing got done. Maybe some hand quilting tonight.
