I have too much stuff going on right now so I'm trying to decide if I should play or sit this turn out. We are in the process of painting our living room and front entry - going from the color of clay pots to tan/taupe color on our accent wall and front entry - remaining walls are going to be a much lighter cream color - very neutral. Still have time to decide to join the group again.

I had quilt club last night - we are making the quilt from the book "Every Barn Tells A Story" and we are required to have three blocks done for each meeting, This Saturday our Groovy Girls quilt club meets and for that we are making a Moda Friendship Quilt - we make five blocks for each months meeting. I have BOM to complete each month and I signed up for the doll quilt swap so need to make a doll quilt and ship that out before the end of the month. I'm kind of busy for the time being - gardening will be starting soon - YEA happy dance - what's this girl going to do.

Yay! The more the merrier! Send in your info!!!! The sign up questions are a tad different this time, and I didn't keep everyone's info, so....

I'm glad to see you back Brat! Don't you overdo it now. On the upside, it's a long enough window to take it slow and still make something nice for your partner. Dabbler, that goes for you too! Jaba, don't hurt Brat too bad now, you know she's still fragile!

Not too many sign ups so far. Still some people in the wait & see category because of other obligations. Tell everyone you know though & we'll have a good turnout. I just don't know what I'll do if we have 90+ like the mug rug swap!

Well you're already toward the top of the signup list. Does that count? Only 5 have sent in their info to join so far. Somehow the phrase "go forth & multiply" is stuck in my head, lol.

My Accuquilt Go! cutter came yesterday! I'm so excited. I managed to stay out of the sewing room last night though. I need to pick out a project and make sure I have all the fabrics before I start cutting nilly willie or I'll have all my fabrics chopped up in a minute, lol.

Congrats with the Accuquilt Go Dusty - I don't have one but they look to be a lot of fun; I especially like that you can do applique type cut-outs. Have fun playing with your new toy.

    Default BOM working on

this is a copy of the BOM quilt I'm working on this year through our local quilt shop. It's done in civil war fabrics. It's a lot of flying geese blocks - I finally broke down and purchased one of those tools "Wing Clippers" they're made for the flying geese block.

oh Dabbler that is awesome... I think you will end up with a killer quilt. I saw the elenore spell check burns barn quilt at my quilt shop in Sonora. Love it. Ask do you have a class for that? no just a book. well thanks for nothing! it sure was a pretty quilt though. One day I might find that barn book for a bit less than the 28.00 they wanted and make one myself. one day. after all the other projects I have signed up for. Just downloaded my fat cat owl pattern for the month. Now to get Dustysmom to accucut my pieces for me. all those scalloped edges.. ugh! I could use some cats cut out happen to have that pattern dear? doubt it is one of the 20 you start with. squares are good too. charm squares. like if you wanted to do a postage stamp quilt cut 1000 of everything with your handy dandy machine. yahoo!!!

Brat I'm actually waiting for the new Eleanor Burns book "El's Kitchen" to come out - I preordered way back in November; it's based blocks from the thirty's. On another note - I have all of the barn segments for Quilt in a Day saved on our DVR machine - Brian keeps asking me when we can delete them and all the Love of Quilting segments that are saved - "NEVER - I haven't finished that quilt yet" truth be told I haven't even started it - we have well over 100 quiting segments saved - it's my someday project. I'll keep my eye out for the barn book for you - every once in a while you come across them for little or nothing at a tag sale if you're interested. Her directions are super simple to follow along with; I've done her sampler and underground railroad quilts.

Nancia the colors are all gold/tan/cream/brown/black - the photo doesn't do it justice. They offered a batik or a Kansas Trouble color option as well; all are very beautiful - the civil war just looked a little more timeless.

I do want to sign up it's just that I don't have a clue what I would wish for at the moment; I still have a couple of weeks to decide.
