    Very interesting thread I love the guitar neck to hold the wall hanging and very appropriate for that quilt. There are a lot of great ideas. I once made a round wall hanging that I made a hanger sleeve then sewed it to the back of the wall hanging so it hung be a hanger. Did not show from the front and the circle hung very nicely.

    When my grandson was born, I made him a colorful lone star. I put sleeves on all four edges, inserted picture framing and it was hung flush with the ceiling over his crib.

    Unique and such a wonderful touch.....I think I would also paint the dowel a light blue as was suggested here.....

    I just finished (at long armers now) the Garden Quilt. Wonder if could find a child's size rake or shovel? Oh, my now you've all got me thinking "creatively". Thanks.

    Hey Shirl no pattern I looked at pictures cand sort of eyeballed everything. Drew on 8 x 11 paper first then enlarged the elements until I liked it. I am a lousy artist so it doesnt take a lot of drawing ability to do. I could try to draft something for you if you are interested. You can pm me.

    Great ideas! I am doing a WH for Durham Fair I need to think about a themed hanging.

    I have a friend who is on the ski patrol. I made her a quilt with skiers on it, and told her to hang it on a ski pole. It looks great!
