A picture of a Trip Around the World in that line is also available as a kit, to give you an idea. It's not a difficult quilt to do, and you've got a lot of the cutting already done by buying a jelly roll. http://www.craftsy.com/supplies/moda...quilt-kit/9686

One jelly roll, without adding to it, won't give you a terribly large quilt, so it depends partly on how big you are wanting to make it. From Jo's Country Junction, I made Chain of Faith (actually liked it so much I bought the same fabric she used in hers). If you do a search for that, you will be able to find the pattern, either on her site or on Moda bakeshop. It uses every smidge of 2 jelly rolls.

I LOVE the fabric line. Too much red? Heck no!

Not too much red, but I love the color red! I love the way you have them laid out to show them to us - very much like a chevron, so I think a chevron quilt would be gorgeous!

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the fabric was "Log Cabin". Lovely fabric.

I love it! If the gift recipient likes red, she will too!

Check out all of these patterns on moda bakeshop, I modified Sunset Ridge a bit and am using it to make a table runner with 8 matching placemats. It's really quick and fun! http://www.modabakeshop.com/category/jelly-roll

Those colors would also play nicely with this one, but I'm not sure how experienced you are. You could always try a couple steps with some scraps and see how it goes. http://www.modabakeshop.com/2015/04/...tml#more-29265

It would make a beautiful log cabin! It is not too much red if that is what she likes.

I don't think you have too much red. The different lights make the reds pop. You'll have a spectacular project when you are finished.

I'm not a big "red" fan, so it is a little overwhelming. But my first thought was find some black fabric that had just a touch of red. If you do a jelly roll race, place a square or rectangle of the black fabric between each of the strips.
