Made 17 dozen cookies for our bake sale. Used Pillsbury cookie rolls....peppermint, sugar, gingerbread, and peanut butter. These cookies are delicious, and so easy to use.

Oh dear ... I am so wanting some of these cookies and candy! Can I be on your mailing lists?
I will make pumpkin bread, banana bread, fudge, chocolate walnut and sugar cookies for sure. I did see a recipe for snickerdoodles that sounded good with a caramel baked into the center I might try. I love spice anything. Oh and cherry jelly made from my cherries this year off my tree.

Once I start baking/cooking, it seems it never stops until after new years day. I did Thanksgiving dinner for everyone this year that came out perfectly on everything. A real treat to cook when that happens.

It's too soon to bake the dinner rolls and Cinnamon buns yet...
Our village's Santa Claus Parade is this afternoon and I need some baking for after the parade. BTW this is the first year DH has had the Christmas lights up before the parade in a great many years.

    Anyone else doing Christmas baking?
A tradition from my childhood was something called Carrot Pudding. It was steamed in a mold pan then turned out of the mold in a pretty shape. I know it had carrots, raisins and nuts, but not sure of what else. It seems there was something white shredded in it too, but I don't know if it was apples or potatoes. It was a very moist dessert.
Is this anything like the carrot pudding you make? I'd love to see your recipe sometime in the future when you are not busy with holiday baking.

    Hi wildyard
My mom's carrot pudding was shredded carrots and potatoes ... my favourite carrot pudding is carrots and apples. And I'm lazy and also only DH & I like it so I steam it in a casserole or loaf pan and serve it from there.
These are the two recipes I use. I serve it with Butterscotch Sauce. My dear MIL used to let the grandkids eat the sauce by the bowl but my mom insisted we had to have a bit of pudding with the sauce.

I haven't tried her fudge but I just made 2 of her pecan pies for the Christmas Celebration at my church this past week. Will have to cut the sugar a bit since it was a little over the top, sweet! But, it was delicious!!!
