I like the random D9P idea. I just put a top together that way for a Christmas quilt:

Since you have so many different fabrics, a Double Slice Layer Cake (Jenny Doan) would work well too and have a similar look to the random D9P.

By the way GirlyGirl... I was hoping to meet up with you in Paducah! I was with MelodyR and BeckyW but we never did connect with you. Guess you got too busy. Maybe next year?

No ideas come to mind, but the fabrics are gorgeous. They would look great in almost any quilt. I might look on MSQC tutorials, or any others like Shabby Fabrics or Fat Quarter shop for ideas.

So sorry I didn't have a chance to meet you. It was a fun time and my SIL and myself saw just about everything. Did you catch the big sale at Murray's on Saturday. Tone on tone for $3 a yard and cottons for $4. I went with a suitcase and tote and came home with a suitcase, two totes and a duffel bag. Needless to say I now have a bigger stash and lots of projects.

Yes! I did go back to Murray's on Sat and bought a bunch more batiks and Civil War prints. $5 and $4 a yard... I sort of lost my mind! I found some good pieces in that little $3 pop-up shop near the show center, too. I bought a bag of vintage scrap pieces there that were gorgeous.

Glad you had a good time. I bought way too much fabric but all were at super good prices. Didn't buy much from the vendors at the show!
