I use Crayola Ultra Clean Washout markers too. I wish I could buy only the darker markers in a package. I don't use the light color ones. I bought many packages of them at the back to school sale at Walmart.

Some of the pens I have bought lately have a little plastic nub on the tip that needs to be removed first.

I love my frixion pens. I use them constantly. I have found that the ball points are the ones that work the best. I accidently got the fine points once and they were not good.

I bought them for fabric but don't like them for that purpose, so I brought them to work to use as regular pens. 2 of the 3 dried up before I could use them. It's kind of neat to have erasable ink, but at that price point I expect a much more reliable pen. I won't be buying more.

I found that if you leave them laying around flat on the cutting table or near your machine they don't work so well. I store mine with the "writing" end down in a jar (I use an old mason jar as a pen/pencil holder).

Also the "really fine point tip" doesn't work as well as the regular tipped ones. My fine point tipped sharpie is the same way.

Mine work fairly well. I've never had any trouble getting the marks to disappear. However, I've never put the quilt in a freezer to see if the marks reappear. I've thought about it though I did notice that I have to really push down to get them to write sometimes.

I also love the frixion pens as I do all my quilting on my Bernina mostly with the stitch regulator and free motion but I do use some of the hand quilting patterns that I convert over for contineous {sp} and trace with the frixion pen and I know the iron does not always erase the lines so I used an pld wash cloth dampened and rubbed and it is gone and I do use the all the time also for applique placement and the only one I leave alone is the red one

I love my Frixion pens. They work great. I have never had any problems with them.

I love them. I use them to mark embroidery patterns and then I'm sure to cover them well. Once at the beginning of the summer I had my project in the car, and it got so hot that the marks all disappeared! I had to wait til I got home and put it in the freezer before I could continue working on it. Once you learn how the Frixion behaves, you'll know better how to use it. It's really great for some things, not for everything.

When I'm going to want markings to be removed, I try to use white tailor's chalk and then brush it out afterwards.

Some of my fav quilters and lqs stopped carrying them or using them so that's good enough for me.
