I would not put a border on it unless you need additional length/width

I am in the border group. I initially thought that the blue/grey was a border. Lovely quilt!

That's a great quilt. I like it without a border, which makes the paths seem to go on to who knows where, whereas a border brings them all to a stop. However, I think the way it's sitting on the bed shows that a border would look good, too.

Are you interested in making it fit your bed? If you are would you then have to make more blocks or add borders to increase the size? I guess your answer lies in what you are looking for in the finished quilt. Your quilt is stunning!

I was just trying to use up some scraps, which just created a bazillion half square triangles. My mom would like this for her tv room, so I think I am just going to quilt it and bind and call it done.

Good choice! That's what I was going to suggest. I've always been a border person but have recently made some quilts that have just a dark binding and I really like the look.

my quilt making rule of thumb is borders should only enhance the quilt, never be used to make it bigger

so my question would be, is that the bed you intend to use the quilt on? Or is it a cuddle size quilt?
If bed size I'd add two more rows of blocks all around.
Another option would be sashing and cornerstones, but it looks like it is already stitched together?

or borders with four cornerstones of the block in the quilt, that would make the borders serve a purpose
and bind with strips from the patchwork candycane style to pull it all together.
here is a sample from craftsy, the fourth photo down

I would only border it if I needed it bigger and had no more blocks. I love it just the way it is!!

A border would help so that u don't lose any of the tops by binding it also. Very nice top too!
