I sat through a church service one time sketching the fabric pattern on the chair in front of me.
I do love the Corelle pattern.....I have sketched that on down for future reference. Thanks.

Every time I go for a walk I find different ideas that I can use for FMQ. Some of them work well; some not so well but it is a challenge when you study nature. The hardest part is remembering exactly how the tree, flower or whatever really looked like. And I am not going to stop walking to sketch!

What a creative idea! I think I have on occasion studied a pattern in some object and thought it would make a great quilting pattern but never remembered it or pursued it. Now you have started something! I know I will be looking for cool designs everywhere I go - even the bathroom floors. I love all the other design inspirations posted, as well.

Nor me, but if you're shy, most phone cameras can be set not to make a noise. Another option would be the a quick sketch with paper and a pen. TP in a lot of public bathrooms is stiff enough to write on. LOL!

I, too, am fascinated by "doors". At one time, I collected pictures of them.
