Welcome! I know your pain and I still grieve my mother's death, not a day goes by that I don't think of her. Time is a wonderful healer, it's been almost 5 years and at least now I can think of her without bawling. I was an only child and raised by my mom....she was mom, dad, and best friend. I'm glad you're doing a quilt to honor your mom! It's an excellent idea and I'd keep it simple, but glorious. How about an Irish Chain? The chain has the strong impression of connectivity and never ending. And surely we will always be connected to our moms and we are never ending...we'll all be together again one day.
