I think her fur babies will be scared of the fireworks.

We are cooking out at my Moms house tomorrow so probably no quilting for me. I really need to finish the quilt top and start quilting my sons Texas quilt. He and his family live in New York (my DIL is from there), so just a little something to remind him of home.

I just finished a soccer quilt for my great nephew and have enough material left to make him a pillow case...guess that is what I will be working on today. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO EVERYONE!

it's 7:45 a.m.- I've already- 1 load of wash in the washer. backwashed pool, added chemicals, threw in the "bug" to vacuum. Talked to the dogs and apologized for leaving them for 2 days to get away with hubby. Photographed the fabric I bought on mini-vaca to Lancaster. Set up laptop (took it with me) and getting ready to download the pics I took. Having a cappuccino (missed it while I was gone) and relaxing by reading all the new posts.

Have to watch the time, need to shower at 8:30, church at 9:30, then home to start to stain the decks (it is a multiple day job). picnic at son's at 5:30 and fireworks in their neighborhood.

Need to make a list of new projects to do- I have turned a skeptical hubby to a full fledged believer in quilting is not just a hobby, but my passion.

Sewing- maybe, maybe not. we'll see.

I have been struggling to figure out what to make as a memorial quilt for my sister. She sent me the pajamas my brother in law wore in the hospital and toward his end stage. She sent a pair of silk undershorts that he wants showcased in the middle of the quilt and seven pictures she wants in it. Last night I found a pattern that will work. Today I will try to adapt the pattern colors and fabrics to what I have. Then I have to figure out the picture on fabric thing. Lots of thinking before I even sew!!!!

This morning I have sewn 3 and 1/2 inch half square triangles together to make 64 broken dishes block. This is the final blocks. Now I can play with the layout and begin sewing the blocks together. The blocks are six inchs finished, scrappy, and will make a queen size quilt when finished. Happy forth y'all.

I'm still working on my Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. I'm trying to decide how to put it together. I'd like to do quilt as you go but I'm not sure where to start.

Have family gathering to attend until late afternoon, so I will be finishing up my quilted pocketbook tonight so I can take it with me to PA/DE this week.
