When I was doing stained glass, the BEST present I've received was a gift certificate for the glass shop!!! They wrapped them in little boxes....I LOVED them!

All I ever want is just pictures. None of the kids nor gandchildren live here, so I do more watching them grow up in pictures. I don't even want frames, just pictures. DH and I don't even exchange. We just don't need anything anymore. This year DH has to work Christmas day, so I'll probably be quilting.

Sorry, this sounds painful for you, but what is special about Dec. 12?

My daughter just told me Friday, she didn't want me to tell her all I want is to spend some time with her. (It truly is all I want, just an hour uninterrupted by kids, phone or work) so I told her Joann's has the multi-colored scrapbook storage on sale and I can always use more storage. When my kids were small I used to ask for "gift Certificates" from them, for not complaining when I ask for a hug, for volunteering to clear the table, to take out the trash for a week, etc. Also anything hand drawn or hand made was cherished and the bestest gift ever.

Well every year I tell my kids what I want, one year was a digital camera, one year a freezer, last year a plasma TV for my bedroom (the only place I have a TV). This year I asked for a photo of all 6 of my grandkids together. The oldest is 19 & a freshman at Virginia Tech, the youngest is 6. There are 3 boys and 3 girls. So I guess they had the picture taken the other day. I can't wait for that. Nothing is more precious than my GK's.

I need quilting fabric, so am hoping for a gift card to shop at Joann's. Hope my husband gets the message out.
