    Oh yes, I've made that same kind of mark - only it was in the carpet of my sister's bedroom, so you can imagine how happy she was.

    OOPS! I havent burned any carpet but my laminate wood floor has two humungous gouges from me pulling the iron off the ironing table with the knob on the back of my chair. :oops:

    Good that the carpet was the only harm done (assuming). You could applique over it you know.
