Zook's is a huge place, and there are two others just as nice within walking distance on the other side of the street. The Quilt museum is upstairs in one shop, and I have purchased (lots!!!) of fabric in that shop.

Enjoy Lancaster! The stores I enjoy are The Old Country Store (great bundled fabrics), Zooks (check out the flat folds there

    Trina,

Happy Birthday!!! You MUST go to Goodville's Fabric Outlet on Main Street, just 1 mile or so from Shady Maple. About 1/2 mile from them on the fork to the left is Obie's Country Store. Obie's has bolts stacked so high, it's almost an avalanche when you pull one out...be careful! Goodville's is a great find; I liked it better than the stores in Lancaster. It's not as packed with quilter's cottons as Zook's, but the prices are amazing! I think I dropped about $250 without blinking an eye! Enjoy the time with your husband too and the whole year!

The Country Store is fabulous! Been there. I could have spent a whole day there, plus! That would be my best birthday gift ever to spend time there and, of course, get some fabric. Edie

I live in NC but love it when we can plan a trip to Lancaster. The Shady Maple is our favorite place to eat and we usually make it there more than once on a trip. You'll have a great time! If you do other crafts too check out the Flower Warehouse it's just down the street from Shady Maple and it's huge and fun. Happy Birthday.
