I've got a ?? I'm making a queen size, made 96 4 patch blocks. In this clue, it looks like we will come out with 1/2 the # of blocks we did in clue #1. This will give me 48 new blocks, correct? Clue #1 = 24 blocks or 96 for bigger quilt. Clue #2 makes 12 blocks, 48 for bigger?

this brings out my "GO IRISH" ..... course it was right there waiting to burst into song ... the softball and the baseball teams are each playing a double header today, Softball in Florida and Baseball in Georgia so listening from 10 a.m. till about 9 P.M. lucky for me the games are staggered and I can sew all day and listen because ESPN is so stingy with their broadcasts (blocking). I may change to green and white four patches because this clue is making me sing "Oh, there's a magic in the sound of their name, here come the Irish ..."

ooh, yes! the clue is here. perfect because it's just quit snowing but hasn't started sleeting yet and the library closed due to the weather so don't have to work after all. I can stay home and sew! just need to figure out something for supper and my day is set. It is going to be a good day, NiaJane!

Default new direction this quilt could take.

I hope some of you who aren't too sure of scrappy will see this -- thought I posted this picture with clue 2. I am doing a totally controlled scrappy for this one -- have a bunch of small scraps at least 10" long x 2-1/2" wide and am making the four patch from week 1 from these, and will match the HSTs from week 2 to make a fairly matchy-matchy block. And yes, they need a good pressing.

I also posted this picture in PICTURES, always trying to find new scrappy quilt converts! LOL

I'd better hurry and show my 4-patches (I made double) before I get busy on the next clue. I hope I don't regret using the white with black print. My lights seem pretty busy.
Busy times here with my kids home. Tomorrow we are heading north on a mini vacation. Crazy to be going where it is colder! We will visit the ice caves at Apostle Islands near Bayfield, WI and also a day in Duluth, MN

Thank you Judy! It is poring rain here today and will be all day. I've already done my errands and got soaking wet. Now I can stay home and work on this clue.

I think you will be fine with this, and can always add a second border if needed.

you may already know this, FYI just for sure......there are no restrooms inside the caves or even close to the entrance to the caves... do not know if you have small children in your group, just wanted to let you know.

Ooooo so glad to have another convert! But the link back here was eliminated so just the picture is there. Found out I am not allowed to advertise my thread in another section.
