And I, too, spend a lot of money there over and above what I spend on fabric.
Here's the info for you.

Rolla, Mo - When they tried to discontinue fabric the ladies of the town wrote letters and kept it open.

I thought Kroger was a grocery store????
Kroger is a grocery store. If WalMart discontinues the fabric department I'll go to Kroger's to buy groceries. Won't have a reason to go to WalMart any more, Kroger's is closer. The only reason I picked up groceries at WalMart was because I was there buying fabric. If the fabric department closes, WalMart will lose a lot of money overall.

Sterling Heights, MI corner of Mound Rd. & M-59.
They remodeled a few years ago and continued with the fabric, however trying to find someone to wait on you is a challenge.

Great email Burnsk!! I called the 800 number the other day and told them what I thought and she said it would be passed along. If we all keep emailing, calling and writing maybe they will get hint. Let's keep it going.

Hey Gramof6, I heard that the new CEO at Wal-mart used to work for Target. Also if I wanted Target I would of went to Target.

I just got my response from Walmart, a canned message saying many factors were considered in closing the fabric departments, and new party and crafts dept...blah...blah...blah.

I feel better after telling them how I feel. Now I will vote with my feet!
