When sewing your strip sets together; should you alternate sewing from top to bottom and then bottom to top? to avoid getting a bowing effect? I am doing a small section to go with a panel , and I am starting to notice a bow about half way through. Elaine

I never do that, because i'm afraid I will sew the strips together wrong. I haven't had any problem of bowing. I think you get bowing when you sew two stips together, then sew one on to those two, then sew one more, and so on.
I sew sets of two together until I have all them in sets of two. When I get through sewing those, if there is one left (an orphan) I sew it to the last set of two. Then start the next chain piecing with two of the twos togehter until I get to the end.

Olga,
I was just admiring your bargello - it has such depth and though those are not fabrics I would chose they work wonderfully. Guess I need to branch out more and be brave enough to use more pastels.
Sincerely - your bargello quilt top is beautiful.

I've finally gotten to a point where I can begin your Bargello tutorial. Even have the fabrics picked out. Can you tell me where to find all the steps?
Go to the Home Page and at the bottom of the page you will find link for "All User Defined Sections" Click on that and you will find all the sections in the Virtual Section.
Bargello Quilts is now at the top of the list. You will want to click on Subscribe, and that will put the Bargello Quilts section on the front page so it will be easy to find next time.
Click on Bargello Quilts to find the tutorials. There are a lot of messages in this section. The ones for my tutorial are:

#1 bargello tute, started by Kyiav10. That is where we discussed me doing the tutorial, photos of some of the quilts I have done, fabric choices and arrangement. width of strips and how many needed to make the quilt, sewing the strips together into panels and ironing the panels . Then it goes on...rest of the tutorials will be posted by me.

Olga, your quilt tops are amazing. I do not know how you are able to keep track of all the different types of material and where they are suppose to go. loll. Really lovely Olga!

It would take about a week or so, because I'm going out of town for a few days.
Are those from the same pattern? Just sewn differently? Those are really pretty. :)

Yes, they are all from the same pattern. You make the quilt in four sections then you have the opportunity to arrange those section however you like.
