Well, when I got your name for SS I had to chuckle because I was expecting to get the name of some "total stranger from tinbucktoo". But after the winter of talking about Gus's surgery and the spring of marestareing, I felt like I had gotten the name of a very close friend. Your were originally going to get a bunch of embroidered stuff, but my machine took a dump on the 2nd dishtowel. It is on its way to the "spa" as we speak. I loved gathering everything together for you. I think I said in my PM that the box came before anything, and then it was just a matter of getting everything to fit. I think we all will agree that this board has been a wonderful way to get together and form bonds and friendships that would otherwise never be available to us. Just remember everyone, when you complain about technology, where we would be without it. Anyway, enjoy everything and think of me everytime you do dishes.

I saw lots of knitted dishcloths swapped. Glad to see I'm not the only knitting nerd to include them in my package.

My family loves them. Last Christmas I had about 25 made and put in a basket for everyone who wanted one. Even my bachelor son took one for his house. Then what was left went with my DDIL to her family get-together and her family finished them off. This year I am also crocheting those potholders that you end up folding on the bias and stitching together. Everyone loves them too.

I really have enjoyed this swap & plan to participate again. I received a lovely box from my partner, snownannie. I already thanked her in a PM, but wanted to share my treasures with y'awl, too. She spoiled me with a HST/QST ruler, a seam ripper (two items on my wish list), the cutest chocolate candy holders that she made & embroidered, gorgeous warm-colored FQ's, a manicure set, and an adorable cupcake pot holder. She wrapped my pressies in fabric, too! I make postcards & these fabric pieces will be perfect for postcards! I sure hope I hear from my swap partner, although I did get confirmation from Terri that my gift was delivered safely. Merry Christmas my quilting friends!

Here is a pic of the dishcloths and potholders I make. It is cotton yarn and they are very simple to make and go fast. I make them, usually one an evening while I am watching TV.
