I am ready to toss my freaking sewing machine out the window!! Arrgh! This venting moment brought to you by the un-caffeinated Graceful Ann. My blocks are being chewed alive!!!

Snownannie, that cupcake reindeer is wonderful, as well as the ice skate! I love them all, but those two are my favorites. I can not wait to put this quilt together, it's going to be so fun. This one, I'm keeping!

GracefulAnn, are you piecing or appliquing your blocks? If it's applique, are you using a stabilizer on the back of your block? I always iron freezer paper on the back before satin stitching. It tears right off afterward.

Snowannie, love the ice-skate & the snow/snowman. Cute!

Thanks for the tip libster. No fun GracefulAnn that your sewing machine has gone on the fritz. My embroidery machine is having it's issues now too. Didn't like the metallic thread. You might take apart the front of your sewing machine to see if there is a thread that is stuck. Sometimes it's just cleaning the lint out & oil-ling your machine. I wish you the best.

Oh dear gracefulann ... You might try changing the needle too. I hope that it begins to behave for you.

My package got sent out Monday, so should be arriving soon.

I'm loving all the different blocks! This is going to make such a fun quilt, and I think it will be the perfect size for curling up on the couch.

My goodness gracefulann - so sorry about your machine. Once my machine "Mr. Magic" (that's his name) broke 2 needles, chewed fabric and wasted a couple of hours because he did not like the thread I was using.

Update for folks: have completed 2 sets, 2 other sets need more work. Will post as soon as I can...hopefully by the weekend. I'm also working on a twin-size charity quilt which will be my first completed quilt. My original 1st quilt (my impulsive labor of love) is stuck on hold for the nonce. ***Did I ever mention how s l o w I am and how I can't figure out how you all bing-bang-boom turn things out so fast?***
