I lurked for ages too. But now I at least reply, but I must say only when I have something worthwhile (I think) to say. I used to spend my time playing games now all my pc time is spent here. I have learnt sew much, not just about quilting either. I love this sight for the people on it, the laugh's and the heartfelt encouragement given to everyone. I could go on and on about how good you all are, but there is more looking to do and more to learn. A big thank you all especially the people who run this sight
:) :-) :D

Hey, I felt the same way but decided that the pics I post will help fill up the board. I still have some that I am ashamed to post but I promise you whatever you post this board will give you a positive feedback and make you feel great about your skills. Go for it.

I'm with you. I just like seeing what other people are making and also some of the issues others have are the same as mine.

No you are not the only one- I have made MANY simple tie quilts - probably for 50 yrs but have just begun to try the more difficult. I had a photo quilt top put together and tore every stitch out and im putting it back the right way- talk about dumb !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just remember, you get what you ask for. Careful wording is important. "What do you think?" is an open ended invitation. "Which border is better?" is specific. "My nightmare - how do I fix this?" will garner a lot of helpful hints. The body of this board is helpful, has a lot of opinions, love and encouragement. Ignore the numbers of views vs. comments. Many people take a peek for their own inspirations, some for reassurance that they are on the right track with their own skills, some are our cheer leaders and mentors. On this board sit professionals, blue ribbon quilters, first time quilters, never-tried but interested, shop owners who want to get a feel for what we like, designers, and the list goes on. Go ahead. Show. Tell. Ask.
