I have one somehwere...I guess if I don't know where it is I don't use it. LOL I found that it was in my way and annoying. I would like to have a zinger with a retractable line.

Yes when I used to cross sticth and noe hand embrodry I do, just a piece of yard and small scissors.

I do but indeed mine is very sharp and it also opens up so I get poked. Not very safe!

When using my longarm I use a pair of blunt nosed scissors tied on a ribbon around my neck. I think these are bandage scissors.

As a hand appliquer, I keep my trimming scissors, extra threaded needles, & pins on a needle caddy around my neck. If I didn't, I'm always looking for them.

I'm so used to it, that it doesn't bother me in the least.

Go to Walmart and buy snips. They are around $5.00 a pair. I know the ones you are talking about at LQS and they are probably a Weiss brand name, all metal. I'm with you. I worked in a sewing factory before, years and years ago, you always kept the snips in your hand while sewing. The metal ones. I bought a metal pair, but much rather use the plastic handle ones, they are lighter. I keep them in my hand at the sewing machine at all times, especially while paper piecing. Mary

No, at the shop I had a terrible accident with them I was in the shop alone and they got cought and ended up in the head .Thank God the Lady in the next building was there to help.
I refused to have them in our stock after that.
