Keep up with the discipline. We got a bell to put on my lil girl when I first got her. She is 7# now but as a puppy shE was tiny! Bell helped a lot! Also a bright t shirt!! I also enrolled her in obedience school asap! She was 2 nd smallest dog but the only one to get a time out in first class for not behaving ! Lol. Does great once she knew I am the bOSS!!

Jacquie - I take back everything I already said --- I read your first post all wrong and thought you were (literally) terrified of this beautiful little dog. She will become your best buddy - better than any yellow Lab could be (you'll see).

So cute! Probably was somewhat abused by not getting the proper kind of attention and training. Young enough to become a good pet with patience.

LOL!!!!! I've been watching Caesar Milan..(the Dog whisperer) and have found using no language but making sure my "energy" is calm and assertive works well with these little "devils" LOL

Just look at a Doxie's teeth. Real scary. They have the most vicious teeth for a dog their size, but it comes from breeding a dog with a heart three times their size to go down a badger hole and do battle. Unlike most, my doxie was brow-beat when I got her and the cat could beat her up. She also was cross-eyed. We had three dogs at the time, a poodle, a lab and Pixie. Pixie was the vet's favorite.
