hi everyone, i haven't posted on here for a very long time, but do try to keep up with all postings. Anyhow i have janome300e and janome350e love them both. Emb.library is one of the best sites for a huge selection of patterns. I pick 5x7 size mostly for my machines. I agree with the ladies who said check out different sites and see if there are any freebies to try out. This way you can see if you have the proper stablizer, proper needle. I went totally nuts also buying everything i fell in love with. I have more then enough patterns now to last me a life time, but now i pick more carefully what i want for patterns. Just like the one lady posted, so addictive like this site and with browsing around looking at all those patterns, who can embroidery? Oh but i try when weather permitting or health(arthritis) doesn't give me a bad day.I was so afraid when i first got my machine, it was in its box for amost a whole yr before i started playing with it. Now i have the hang of it (so to speak) i embroider as much as i can. Lots of emb. blocks,(tested patterns) now to get some ufo's done. oh yes before i forget, in my avatar are fsl christmas butterflies. by sonia showalter, I love doing fsl.

I usually buy the biggest my machine will take and maybe the next size smaller.

I usually buy the small because I can resize and recalculate the stitches on my embroidery software.

I usually get 4x4 or 5x7, that is what my machine can do so I get both, just in case especially if they are for free.
