Our 4 girls would never drive with their father in the car because he made them so nervous. Even the few times I had to drive with him in the car (after knee replacement, shoulder surgery, cataract removal, etc) he had me so nervous I drove right past our turnoff. He is now 82 and the girls do not want to be in the car with him driving!

Older two kids did well. My DD was careful and my DS was wild, but it came in handy because he knew how to avoid messes.

I always said to my DH, I'm so glad we only had 3kids cuz after the third one, I didn't have any nerves left! They were always too nervous with their dad to drive so I got the job!

Congrats! I, on the other hand, am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that my baby has started Kindergarten and has to get her little 5 year old self on the school bus every day....

We lived in St. Louis, Mo, when my youngest wanted to learn how to drive. OMG! Lots of traffic, and all the parking was on the street. I couldn't teach him, or ride with him...my heart and nerves weren't up to the task. Nor did we have an extra vehicle for him to drive, so he didn't get a license.

We moved down to Ft. Myers, Fl., where there is very little on the street parking. Almost everything is build like suburbs, and we all have our own driveways. YAY. But he didn't learn to drive until he had to....in his 30's. But without all those parked cars to run into.....SO MUCH EASIER. Lol. Sending the sympathy. Keeping the drugs to myself.

The post office knows...my DGD had to have an extra steering wheel and components installed in her SUV when she started working for them...I think someone in Georgia did hers...but I don't know if you can use them both at the same time or not!
