Default How to remove duct tape from wood

I just picked up a desk style cabinet last night and the top and side drawers have sticky old duct tape on them. The silver peels off leaving the goo and webbing. What can I use to safely get the tape residue off. The cabinet isn't perfect but not in bad shape so I am hoping it will clean up and be useable right out of the gate.

I would agree, but you can get it at most local drug stores/supermarkets

Steve I had some in the cupboard, but was undecided. I am thinking then clean with Glenn's cleaning recipe and Feed N' Wax. I respect your work on tables though. What do you think?

Yay! The Goo Gone got the tape residue off nicely. Now for the cleaning..I think I need to go buy the ammonia. I don't have that. It's a two part cleaning process if I remember right?

Yep. The Goo Gone did it. After that I used Glenn's cleaning recipe and gave the desk a good wax. It still has character but it's clean and smooth now.
